COVID-19 MAKES ME NEEDY! (Students behavior in online shopping during Covid-19)
Hello everyone!!
The end of this month,
and also the end of this year. You have to say goodbye to December guys!
and welcome to 2021 of
course (^^).
Talking about the end of the month, where people at work are waiting for a payday, and the students are waiting for money from parent. At the
same time, there is end - year sales where you can get better prices and some discounts in the store. So, you can’t control
yourself to spend your money on shopping. LOL.
But, this year is different from the previous years. Why? Because there is pandemic Coronavirus disease (Covid -19) so you have to stay at home and do social distancing. No worries, because it can’t stop you to do shopping, using some online shopping apps is so easy, because nowadays you can always buy anything thru your phone.
So far, who has opened online shopping apps more often than materials? WKWK. Steady on!! You’re not alone dear. Social distancing makes us bored, to spending hours in front of your phone or laptop and do some activities. Maybe, it’s not only
students but most people feel that. That’s why, they make themselves happy by doing online shopping.
Quoted from CNN
Indonesia, the Ministry of Communication and Information noted that online
shopping activities increased by up to 400 percent during the Covid-19
pandemic. This was conveyed by the Director General of Post and Information
Technology (PPI) of the Ministry of Communication and Information, Ahmad M
Ramli in a meeting with the Tourism Recovery Committee at Commission X DPR.
One of my friend told
me that the ratio he went shopping before and after Covid-19 is 1 : 3
Whoaa it’s so amazing.
“I don’t understand myself because everyday I’m so crazy to shop” WKWK.
But, there are also
some who are more interested in shopping during sales, “I like shopping during sales, I have to save my money during normal day, I will shopping ‘cause when big sales come I want to shop more”
And the other hand,
some who lose their job because of Covid-19, they prefer to spend less than
their normal expenses. And save their money.
With the increase in
people's online purchasing power since the Covid-19 pandemic, Indonesia's digital
economy sector has also increased rapidly. According to data taken from BPS (Badan
Pusat Statistik), Indonesia's Digital Economy reached USD 40 billion in 2019.
This figure has grown five times compared to 2015 which only reached USD 8
billion and Indonesia's Digital Economy is predicted to reach USD 113 billion in
the next 5 years or in the year 2025.
Oh My Lord, I don’t
understand anymore, everytime I'm using social media, I am drooling for Foods and drinks, Clothes, especially skincare. LOL.
Okay, that is during
this Covid-19, student behavior during Covid-19 is really increased.
